PROJECT 1
Site Investigation + Inventory
An introduction to existing condition of the chosen site with further exploration of the neighbourhood context within the parameter. A potential site - an existing industrial facility with substantial public amenities and a subject matter that requires an investigation and research. The understanding of the site, location, context, circulation, surroundings, etc. needs to be look into. Furthermore, substantial information and knowledge about the subject itself to be considered for design context and input. Site measurements to be executed before completion of the site model.

PROJECT 2
As culture slowly begins to fade, it is the responsibility of designers, craftsman and artisans to evoke strong support and transition in order for the artistic culture to preserve. Students are required to propose and produce functional/interactive conceptual art devices that will be both an art piece that is conceptual + narratives that itself in an artistic manner, with the approach of subject matter shall derive either from the dying culture from the site visit in Penang or other states in Malaysia. Together with the fusion of keywords to be implemented to produce the conceptual art into tangible reality.

FINAL PROJECT
Continuation from the project shall be based on Project 02 in terms of physical creative spatial insertion. The scenario of an artists will be the target audience in the living, working and producing the work of art in the said space. A space for not just for the artisans work and live but also for the community of similar interest to participate and produce their work of art with extensive spatial programming & facilities provided to produce their desired outcome. The idea of ‘making’ shall forever be embedded and continue in order to preserve the ‘forgotten’ art and culture.
