INTRODUCTION TO DRAWING
Curious. Hard-Working. Creative
The module is aim to assist students to familiarize the basic representation of the built and natural environment through drawings. It engages students with different techniques of drawing and encourages them to explore different methods of drawing to enable them to utilize it as communication skills in the construction industry. The module will be presented in the form of a studio with lectures, workshops, tutorials, student presentations and class discussion.
ASSIGNMENT 1
The first assignment will be divided into two parts. Tasks will be given in class and students will need to present their findings in class in the form of pin ups or power point presentation. The first part introduces students to the various types of drawings as a means of communication through investigation. They will need to discuss and work as a team to generate a presentation and communicate their findings. The second part will be on observation on forms and shapes; translating their observation to simple drawings.
